Since 1979, when Mohana Muthukumaran DMD first opened its doors to patients, we have provided the Mercer County area residents with timely and efficient dental care. We are a privately owned dental clinic that is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to local individuals and families.

Our goal is to help maintain the oral health of all Mercer County residents. We offer general dental services for patients of all ages and provide in-house nitrous oxide in complex treatments. All of our dental staff specialize in different areas. Dr. Muthukumaran emphasizes her lasting relationship with her family of patients. She excels in catering to people of all ages. Credentials
 		 Dr. Mohana started her path towards dentistry by getting a B.D.S (Bachelors in Dentistry) from Ahilya Bai University in Indore, India. Soon after completing her degree she came to the United States and started volunteering as a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Dental Research in Bethesda, Maryland from 1989-1990. She researched the morphology of the salivary glands, working very closely with Dr. Bruce Baum and Dr. Arthur H. Hand. She then went on to become a Research Assistant at Boston University from 1990-1991.

A graduate of Boston University, MA (1991), Dr. Mohana started her career as an associate at Whitworth Dental in Boston. After two years at Whitworth Dental, she moved to Bayonne, NJ. The Bayonne Dental Group was delighted to accept this engaging young dentist into their establishment. To expand her dental horizons, she moved on to work with Dr. Simon Lyndhusrt in 1996. In 1997, she took on the position of Director at the Kimble Neighborhood Dental Clinic of Lakewood, NJ.

After all the extensive learning experiences and hands-on dental successes, she ventured into being a solo practitioner in 1999. She has been practicing at her present location ever since, serving the community and earning the name of being a caring, considerate dentist with expertise in pain-free procedures.

Community Involvement A caring dentist with an even more caring heart, she generously donates to soup kitchens and Meals on Wheels. She is a staunch supporter of local religious organizations such as St. Anne’s and St. Hedwick’s. Her contributions to United Way serve as a means to help this community that she loves dearly. Her inspiring talks at the local schools like Ben Franklin Elementary and Slackwood Elementary have helped raise awareness of oral health among young children. She also promotes free oral cancer screenings at the community senior center and gives talks about preventing many prevalent oral diseases. She also magnanimously distributed sports mouth guards to the Little League.

Family Her busy schedule does not prevent her from being a busy homebody as well. She is a devoted mother and a loving wife. She and her husband have two lovely daughters who are the light of their lives. She balances family, work and home efficiently and makes sure she does not miss any highlights in the girls’ growing years.
